The Fraternal Order of Police was founded in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in November of 1915. Since that time it has expanded to forty nine states with over two thousand lodges. The Fraternal Order of Police is the World’s largest organization of sworn law enforcement officers with over 320,000 members. In New Jersey, the Fraternal Order of Police represents over 20,000 law enforcement officers. As a Lodge, we unite 35 law enforcement officers who represent the interests of the active-duty and retired police officers of the Florence Township Police Department.

In October of 2009, the men and women of the Florence Township Police Department, who have sworn to protect the citizens of the community we serve, established Florence FOP Lodge #210 and purposed to improve the individual and collective proficiency of our members in the performance of their duties; to encourage fraternal, educational, charitable, and social activities among law enforcement officers; to create and maintain tradition of esprit de corps insuring fidelity to duty under all conditions and circumstances; to cultivate a spirit of fraternalism and mutual helpfulness among our members and the people we serve; to increase the efficiency of the law enforcement profession and thus more firmly to establish the confidence of the public in the service dedicated to the protection of life and property by the police who are so fraternally ordered.
